- TriviaWhen Capt. Brass asks Gene Simmons about whether he drank or took drugs during the "Fame Experience" he participated in, Simmons vehemently emphasizes that he refuses to do drugs or drink alcohol and that people who are high "bore" him. This reflects Simmons' real-life stance on drugs and alcohol, in that he takes pride in the fact he never consciously took drugs or drank, and does not want anything to do with people who do. When he ran $immons Records, he even put an ironclad clause in all artist contracts, forbidding acts from partaking in alcohol and drugs.

The Rock 'n' Roll Concert and the Groupies
There is a rock'n'roll concert in a club and on the next morning, the body of a beautiful young woman is found in a limousine. The woman is covered in blood, but the limo is not the primary crime scene due to the lack of blood inside the car. When Nick finds the intoxicated driver of the limo Mike Lassek in the hospital, he tells he that the band is composed by four old men that wanted to perform a secret gig. Further, one of them stole his limo. The girl's name is Marcie Cody but there was a second girl, "Tangerine", with her. Greg and Morgan find a necklace inside the limo with the name Tangerine while processing the car. Morgan also finds also a contract with "The Fame Experience" and soon they find the signature on Marcie's breast belongs to Gene Simmons, from the band Kiss. He comes to the station and explains to Brass that "The Fame Experience" is a show where wealthy people pay a lot of money to feel the sensation of being a celebrity for one night. The manager of "The Fame Experience", Marty 'The Cat' Kirch, who says that Marcie was hired to play a groupie, but he does not know who Tangerine is, and he informs where the rockers are. LVPD find Arnold Borkowski and Ed Kapena and bring them to the station for interrogation, but the third member, Alex Young, is missing and become the prime suspect. When Lex is found, there is a shift in the investigation and secrets are disclosed.
"Long Road Home" is an episode of "CSI" that begins with a murder and ends like a soap opera. The presence of Gene Simmons, from the band Kiss, is unnecessary and does not add any value to the episode. The case is well-resolved by the CSIs, but this show is not among the best ones. My vote is seven.
