What a weird ending. !!!Massive spoilers Ahead!!!

Weird because I found myself celebrating Siobhans death more than Nidge's. Maybe that says more about me than the ending itself but after all the lies and tricks she had pulled in the past 5 episodes I really begin to hate her. Let's not forget because of her Janet was murdered, because of her she actually killed Terence's son. Because of her frano gets out now instead of being caught for having the dead guys finger bone.

I'm not saying Nidge wasn't evil, he deserved to die also, His biggest mistake was violently attacking Tommy, but everything else he touched also turned to ash. He caused Linda's death, he didn't save Janet from torture, his decisions cost people like Ado's brother his eye and so much more destruction from previous seasons like killing Darren. The way he died was poignant, wearing the 'king nidge' shoes while ending up face down in the dirt, shot to death. His son and wife seeing it wasnt great though as they didn't deserve that.

This episode rounded things off very well but as with all endings a few things were left behind or deliberately not shown so we could use our imaginations to predict what happened. Did Patrick get caught by the cops while running out the house ? What happened with the Ra and why did that storyline just slowly fade away ? What happens with nadine and ado now ? Will Elmo ever get that 'Elmo is a grass' spray paint off the wall ?

Overall I think the ending was as good as it possibly could be, I did however wish there was another season or atleast another 2-3 episodes which would have helped flesh out some of the other side stories, but we did get to see all the main plots come to an end. We got to see the downfall of Nidge weasel, we seen Siobhan getting what was coming to her, frano getting Ronnie o'sullivan'd and everybody else getting out alive, for now.

What a great show and although it was 7 years after the show finished before I discovered Love/Hate, I'm glad I did because it's one of the best shows I've seen.
