- We open with Jason and Tom arguing. Son doesn't think father cares about what's been done to him. Jason thinks Julia is dead and doesn't want any part of tracking down and killing Monroe. He leaves.
Miles and the gang talk about what they should do about word that the cadets are planning something in Austin. If the Patriots take Texas they think the game is over. Jason arrives in camp with a gun to Connor's head. He says he's there to help them. He wants revenge and has brought with him Truman's plans for Austin. He has an address on Arnell street for where they'll be the following night. Charlie doesn't think they trust him so the compromise is placing him in cuffs.
They head out for Austin. Rachel is staying behind and worries what Miles will do with the cadets when they find them.
We see Priscilla starting into the fire. She sticks her hand into the fire, not seeming bothered by the burns. Aaron rolls over and she is able to heal her hand, nanotech-style.
The gang arrives at the Arnell address. It's a general store and there is an older woman behind the desk. Charlie and Connor tell her they're friends of some younger kids who were supposed to be there. She tells them they're upstairs.
They go to the apartment upstairs. Jason is able to help them avoid several booby-trap. Miles finds a piece of paper with Arabic writing. Jason recognizes the word "Blanchard," the name of the former president of Texas.
Miles and Monroe sneak up on the now-retired Blanchard when he's with a prostitute. They tell him they're not there to kill him.
In the apartment Charlie finds fake California IDs. A man tries to break in and shoot them. Jason stops him and begins pounding on the guy's face.
Aaron asks Priscilla why she hasn't mentioned her family. She then is somehow able to hear an approaching wagon from pretty far away.
The man who tried to get into the cadets apartment is a cadet handler. He trained Jason and has cruel things to say about that process. Jason is uncuffed and pulls out a knife, prepared to get some answers.
Blanchard tells Miles and Monroe he believes their story. He tells them about them finding a kid shooter who has California papers. The Patriots plan was to make Texas think the threat was coming from California, causing a war which would allow them to come in and clean up the mess. Blanchard says he's planning to go after the Patriots, which makes Monroe happy. Blanchard goes into the other room and is killed with one of the prostitutes, who promptly kills herself. Two Rangers burst through the door. Monroe and Miles are barely able to escape.
Miles and Monroe return to find that Jason has tortured the cadet handler into telling him General Carver is the next target and he'll be hit at the capital building that afternoon. They're impressed with Jason's work and decide not to cuff him.
Carver is told that Monroe is alive. He decides not to cancel his speech, but instead orders security to be increased. He wants Monroe found and killed.
The gang loads their weapons and heads for the capital. There doesn't seem to be a plan.
Aaron figures out something is wrong with Priscilla. She isn't sleeping or blinking. She admits that she's the nanotech. She says they are just borrowing Priscilla's body to learn about human experience.
Miles and the gang arrive at the speech and find a crowd of thousands. They split up and look for Willoughby kid.
Aaron and Priscilla arrive at camp. He embraces Rachel.
The woman from Arnell Street spots Jason in the crowd. One of the rangers sees Monroe and begins to chase him. Monroe knocks him out and hides him behind a column. A large man pulls Jason off the side. While he's subdued the woman from Arnell Street reads off his number. She calls herself "Commanding Officer Shirley Jenkins" and asks Jason to tell her what he's doing. She hands him a bag and tells him he's their back-up. He's send to a nearby office. Charlie spots this and follows. In the lineup of new Texas Rangers Miles spots the cadet he didn't kill the other day.
Charlie follows Jason to a window in the building. He's looking at the crowd with binoculars and says he thinks he sees a kid with a gun. Charlie is suspicious. She sees his rifle and they begin to fight. Jason starts choking her and seems close to killing her. She's able to break free and get her hands on the rifle. She demands he "snap out of it."
Monroe also sees the cadet posing as a Ranger.
Charlie begs Jason to stay back, but he comes at her with a knife. She shoots him.
Monroe kills the fake cadet just before he can shoot Carver.
Charlie holds Jason as he dies.
