Well, this episode sure was a disappointment! I don't think I've ever seen a side character get so much screen time as Chloe did in this episode. I don't even dislike Chloe but I felt that the "story line" that Rae was selfish didn't make any sense. In fact, Rae was the one in Season 1 who stayed behind instead of going to the concert so she could be supportive of Chloe, so I don't know why the writers did a 180 and decided to make Rae the selfish one all of a sudden.
Part of the reason that I love this show is because Rae is so unselfish! I think they made a grave mistake portraying her this way just so that Chloe would become more likable since most people don't like her. This is a show about Rae, NOT Chloe.
All in all, this was a very disappointing episode. There wasn't really any reason for the story-line other than building up a side character that not many people care about. Focus more on Chloe if you want, but don't drag down Rae's character to build up Chloe's. Besides, I think the growth of Rae this season has been terrible. In the first season she was so likable, this season she's been nothing but selfish and annoying. Don't know where those personality traits came from...
