Argentinian filmmaker Natalia Garagiola makes her feature directorial debut on the Argentina-us-Germany-France-Qatar co-production from Rei Cine, Gamechanger Films, Augenschein Filmproduktion, and Les Films de l’Étranger.
Hunting Season marks the first time New York-based Gamechanger Films has co-financed a film outside the Us. Lautaro Bettoni, Germán Palacios, Boy Olmi, and Rita Pauls star in the story about a respected hunting guide whose life with his new family in Patagonia changes when he is forced to take in his estranged teenage son following the death of his first wife.

Artistic director Edouard Waintrop unveiled the eclectic selection, comprising 19 feature-length films and another 11 shorts, at a press conference at the Cinéma Le Grand Action in Paris on Thursday (20 April).

Ardalan Esmaili stars in the intense psychological drama as the protagonist who finds love with one woman but also falls foul of a man whose wife he has also attempted to woo.

Ventana Sur: The four Chilean directors who will take part in creating the opening night film of Cannes 2015 Directors’ Fortnight were unveiled on December 3.
Ignacio Rodríguez, Manuela Martelli, Matías Rojas and Teresita Ugarte (pictured in order) will each collaborate with a non-Chilean filmmaker on a short film. The four films will comprise the feature Chile Factory that will screen on the Croisette on May 14.
The initiative is backed by Directors’ Fortnight, Chile’s National Council Of Culture And The Arts and national film support body CinemaChile.
Rodríguez will collaborate on a short with Sara Rastegar (France-Iran), Martelli with Amirah Tajdin (Kenya-Dubai), Rojas with Mariko Saga (Japan-Poland) and Ugarte with Ofir Raul Grazier (Israel-Germany). The four non-Chilean filmmakers were previously announced.
CinemaChile executive director Constanza Arena said the plan was to hold back details of the projects until a later date.
