Brief But Beautiful

Science-fiction giants and lifelong friends Ray Harryhausen and Ray Bradbury meet in front of a studio audience to relate anecdotes from their life and work together. Their shared love of dinosaurs led to an appreciation of many early science-fiction films, most notably Willis O'Brien's classic 1925 film "The Lost World".

This 17-minute video clip is apparently taken from a larger discussion the two men had at Warner Brothers in front of an audience. This is primarily Bradbury speaking, with the focus being "20,000 Fathoms", but really covering how the two got to know each other -- it is fun to hear how they were trouble makers in their own small ways...

Nothing here is earth-shattering, but considering these two legends are now lost, any clips of them are in some small way priceless. Knowing they were friends -- along with Fritz Land, apparently -- is comforting.
