Bronies, ketamine, nostalgia oh my!

Hands down one of the best Bobs Burgers episodes. We're only 8 years away (2022) from when this came out (2014) but they...just don't make them like they used to. Hilariously real, if you're a human being who lived through 2011-2019 you'll laugh out loud when you remember how innocent (?) 2014 was. Equestranauts is a gentle but thoughtful ribbing of Bronies (and to a lesser extent furrys) back when making light of how strange these men was just stating the obvious. I sure hope we can someday cycle back to this kind of social satire, because I sure miss it.

10/10!

Bob: Undercover Bronie
Samuel-Shovel26 November 2017
Warning: Spoilers
After Tina gets tricked out of her rare, collectible Equestranaut pony at a local convention by an older man, Bob must infiltrate this Bronie- like subculture in order to retrieve his daughter's cherished toy.

I found the premise amusing and fresh (I've never seen a comedy take on this sub-culture before) but was a little disappointed after a good run of solid Bob's Burger episodes. There was nothing overtly bad about this episode but none of it really had me laughing out loud at their antics as I'm usually doing. It was missing a little bit of that creative, off-beat touch that I've come to love about the show.

Conclusion: Not bad but I'm hoping for better things to come for the remainder of the season.
