"February"
When I was asked to attend the Red Dirt Film Festival recently in Stillwater, Oklahoma for the viewing of "February ", I jumped at the opportunity. Not knowing what to except I was a bit apprehensive.
I must admit however, as soon as the film started, my frame of mind completely changed to a calmness as every aspect of this beautiful film drew me in deeper taking me into the lives of the characters. All aspects of this film is intriguing to say the least, from the characters to the setting and lighting.
I would have to say my personal, favorite part of this film was when the female lead played by Maryam Tarami, an extremely talented individual, sang a couple of lines "I want to break free". This, for me was something I could personally relate to. As with all short films, they typically end with a twist. This one certainly did that well but nothing as I had anticipated.
I give this film 9 out of 10 stars only due to the fact I wish it was full length.
