It's a decent start, and before we go anywhere, realise that this is a drama, not a documentary, and as such, it's made for entertainment.
Those that have reviewed it a one star, have no idea of the principles of reviewing.
First off, it's a nice production, it looks pretty good, it's not a wow in terms of production, but the houses look good. The costumes are pretty good, some of the men's wigs look ridiculous, but it was the fashion at the time.
Some nice dramatic moments, and definitely has a few bits of tension.
Nice performance's, but as always, Charles Dance overshadows all and sundry, he can't help but be amazing.
