The Love Scene is a short independent film which is based on the struggles of an Iranian actress working in Hollywood. She is forced to choose between being ostracized by her family and friends and doing justice to a role penned by her best friend who paid the ultimate price at the hands of Irans Islamic Regime for writing the novel on which the Hollywood film is based. The story touches on certain cultural taboos and paints a clear picture of what it means for an Iranian female artist to stay true to her artistic identity and overcome boundaries set within a society under the rule of an Islamic theocracy.
