"Die Dienstagsfrauen: Zwischen Kraut und Rüben" is a German television film from 2015, so this one has its fifth anniversary this year, and this is the third film from a series of films featuring the same characters. A lot of time has passed since then, so it seems likely that there will be no fourth movie coming out and as far as I can see, nothing is planned either. Definitely the right choice. I am positively convinced that the first was already one too many and let's not even get started about the fact that not only a sequel got made, but even this third movie we have here. It is about a group of women who are close friends with each other and all face their own challenges, some smaller, others bigger. The fact that it was not always the same actress for each character during this trilogy shows us as well that, as close as the characters may be, the actresses probably weren't because otherwise they would have started the way theyended. And it was not even one who got switched, but already two between the second and third film and maybe some as well between the first and second. Anyway, the cast is mostly female, especially the central characters mentioned in the title and the director Franziska Meyer Price is female too just like the writer Monika Peetz. Looking at both their bodies of work, there really isn't too much to say. The vast majority of what they worked on over they years was really low quality, so the outcome here is not one bit disappointing. The makers tell you and so do the cast members. Vester and Hoger have mostly starred in weak films too and the other three I am not familiar with and I can't be bothered to check, but I am pretty sure that they also acted mostly in films and series that were gently-speaking not exactly something to be proud of. I also felt bad for some of the male actors here. Some of them have been in films that weren't entirely crappy, like Constantin von Jascheroff, and now they have to play second fiddle to a quintet of actresses that have (almost) no talent in a movie that is as poorly written as it gets. But there's also actors like the one from "Unter Uns" that I do not feel sorry for because they are equally untalented.

Now a few moments and references from the story here to emphasize why this film sucked and not just a bit: There is actually too much to name and I would certainly run into the character limit eventually if I listed everything, so I shall just be going with some brainstorming for now. Each of the "ladies" gets their own little story. And each of those is cringeworthy. The background is that one of the gang moves away from hom to another town and of course they are all truly sad that their group is separated now, but it does not take long for them to be united as the women simply visit the one who left. And it feels as if they simply stayed for days there. Are they all unemployed? Or all bosses that they can just do something like that. In any case, the one who left is not unemployed, but starting her own business with her man and we find out they are struggling, not one bit why, but that it is serious enough for all the other girls to arrive quickly. However, this was pretty much all there is to that story and they forgot about it at the same time as each of the ladies get their own story. Be it the one who cannot pay at the garden center because all her credit cards are disabled. (Speaking of cards, the brief card reading inclusion was also pretty garbage. Of course, they do nonsense like that.) Be it the one who is apparently not single, desperately tries to kiss a guy and the "flachgelegt" moment is probably the worst second the entire film has to offer. Cringeworthy stuff and extremely unfunny, just like this film is from beginning to end. I was literally waiting for them to make jokes about "vögeln" too with one character working as an ornithologist. Maybe I missed them, but hey if these amazing women make them, then it must be funny no? They can do nothing wrong. If men (are about to) cheat on their partners, they are downright evil, personified atrocity, but hey if the girls do it, it is okay. The most embarrassing story is certainly the one with the stalker. I am not sure if this is linked to one of the previous films, but one of the women constantly gets messages from somebody and she is genuinely worried. That is also why she is very critical towards the ne guest at the hotel and that he may be a part of this mess. Well, obviously he is not and obviously the worried women and the man become a couple eventually. or at least this is implied. After some pseudo drama involving Hoger's character and a knife, we find out he is a good guy. Wait, what? He had a job to do, find out if Hoger's secretly takes away money and he finds out she does, but he is charmed so much by the gang of ladies that he does not even care anymore and just becomes a friend. Oooookay. Great job ethics there. Another really terrible inclusion is when there is a link between the stalker and Vester's character's son who has been making horror videos at his school. They say these videos are not allowed in Germany? Oh really, I genuinely doubt that. They are very harmless honestly. But what I actually wwanted to say is that thise connection between the two scenarios is absolutely ridicoulous. It's the internet. There could be connections between people from different continents, but hey here they sit in the same town. Also how they depict who is behind the stalking and how she initially does not say the name before catching him is very cringeworthy too from the pseudo drama perspective. So no matter which perspective you take here, this film is a true abomination. Maybe if you wonder about the title of my review, let me explain that this film (the first half left of the :) is called Tuesday women because they meet every first Tuesday of the month to eat together. So now you get it. Is there anything else to say. I guess you get the message. And if you don't then watch it, but don't say I did not warn you. At the latest with the bowling game where it comes down to one shot (of course messed up by a guy again) you will also understand this is a terrible, terrible film. Of course, there is still a happy ending. Let's hope it will indeed be an ending and they do not turn this into a quadrology. Or even more. Fat thumbs-down. Highly not recommended. And indeed this is a film for women and I applaud every women who is not tricked by this not exactly subtle charade of terrible filmmaking, but sees through this travesty. I'm proud of you, ma'am! Next step, keep your GEZ money, so they cannot make more trash like this from money they forced us to pay.
