Following their sexual encounter, David and Stevie don't know how to behave as regular people around each other anymore...whatever "regular" means for them. It doesn't help that mostly everyone in town finds out about them and won't let them forget. Now that they've been dating for 2 weeks, Ted and Alexis host their first party: namely David, Stevie, Mutt, and Twyla. The conversation takes all kinds of uncomfortable directions. Later, Moira and Johnny's warnings to both their offspring against pregnancy by/with podunk locals turns to the fact that Moira and Johnny have no social life in Schitt's Creek. They later find that this is more than their own choice. Written by Huggo

Did You Know?

The producers of Schitt's Creek have been coy about whether the show is set in Canada or the United States. In this episode, David and Stevie browse wine in a local store. This isn't possible in Ontario, Canada, where the episode is filmed: all wine must be purchased from special 'LCBO' government stores, or at the winery itself. See more »

David Rose: This was a beautiful choice!
Stevie Budd: This was a lovely choice! I should head to work. Which is where I should have been 15 minutes ago.
[Stepping outside the door]
David Rose: Stevie? Oh, Stevie? It's those towels again! We need towels.
Stevie Budd: David!
David Rose: What?
Stevie Budd: Your father saw me outside.
[Short pause]
Stevie Budd: ##CK! Your dad can't know about this. It's humiliating to me.
Johnny Rose: Stevie? Is the room that has towels in if? If it is I'd like a key.

End of a hillarious season
25 September 2020 | by SallyWilliamsSee all my reviews

I just discovered this series through the massive emmy success, and I love this first season. The family is so funny, especially Catherine O'Hara as Moira & Dan Levy as David. Their body language & mimic art is simply divine. I think this series is in a league with Arrested Development, and both share the starting theme of a financial crash. It is well balanced with comedy and a realness of the portrayed characters. Also the chemistry between Dan Levy & Emily Hampshire is very good. I especially enjoyed the portrayed pan-sexuality of his character, which is such a rarity in american tv culture. I'm already looking forward to the following seasons. A real comedy gem
