A terrific conclusion.

Emma is convinced that her father is innocent, and argue the case, even against a grief stricken Jane.

I thoroughly enjoyed the first episode, I thought they further explored the story, and built on it. This concluding episode was excellent, I thoroughly enjoyed this as a whole, and this second episode particularly.

Great and concise storytelling, it was fast paced, dramatic and moving.

The acting once again has been fantastic, I praised Firth and Goose, here I have to comment about Christine Bottomley, who absolutely steals the show here, she is fantastic.

Excellent, 9/10.

Warning: Spoilers
Andrew Rawlins looks to be free and clear as his DNA result does not match.

Jane is distraught and lashes out on Rawlins. His daughter Emma takes out an injunction on her so that she keeps her distance from Rawlins.

DI Alison Hall is threatened with a disciplinary hearing just a few days before her retirement. Emma has threatened to take legal action against the police.

It's really a case of how low Jane's life can go. She is alone, even her own husband thinks she is obsessed and crazy. Nothing is going right for Jane and DI Hall.

Jane decides to do some of her own digging. Rawlins was married before and had apparently been violent towards his first wife.

DI Hall talks to a nurse who felt intimidated by Rawlins.

The drama was so busy piling the misery on Jane that it overlooked some flaws.

Police forensics forgot to tell the investigating officers that a DNA blood test is not foolproof. There are circumstances it will not provide the correct result.

It is left to Jane and Emma after she has talked to her estranged mother to do the job that the police should had done. The police did not know about Rawlin's first wife.

As a psychological thriller it was just about passable. It was really a case of whether the well respected doctor was a psychopath and every so often he dropped his guard.
