Fiona Looney lived in Thurles for a month while writing this play.
During her time in Thurles, writer Fiona Looney was incensed by the amount of dog excrement on the town's pavements. She mentioned this in the documentary and a local town councillor suggested there should be bins installed in the town so that people can clean up after their dogs. The councillor further suggested these receptacles should be called 'Looney Bins'.
