The vehicle was actually stolen the same day and it was found smashed and burnt. Investigation led to a small boy whose father was stabbed dead by his mother (an alcoholic who get used to drinking beer and Jack Daniel's together with her new white trash boyfriend) as self- defense and the knife used in the first murder is the same used in this homicide, with marked scratches on the handle. During the episode, we see Brooks put under investigation instead of the perp, due to his involvement in eighties riot: defense attorney (Colin Salmon) tries to make him look a racist because he arrested two times the same black kid without enough evidences on his support.
