Joined by a massive group of dancers and two hulking flame-throwers, Kanye debuted the energetic, explosive track, which was a noticeable departure from many of the other songs he’s debuted off the upcoming record.

It can't be easy landing celebrities for an awards show the night before the Oscars, so the Czech Lion Awards must not have believed its luck when a representative for Jim Carrey got in touch to ask if the actor could attend.
However, if you look really, really closely, you might be able to tell there was something a bit dodgy about this particular 'Jim Carrey' when he took to the ceremony's stage.
The impostor made an awkward entrance, briefly waving to the nonplussed crowd before firing a confetti cannon and wandering off.
Despite initially insisting to baffled viewers that the individual on stage definitely was the Truman Show actor, members of the Czech Film and Television Academy (Cfta) eventually admitted that they had been fooled.
"Nothing indicated it was a ruse and we did not pay any money to the false actor," a spokesperson said.

It seemed as if everyone who's anyone in Hollywood attended NBC's Saturday Night Live 40th Anniversary Special on Sunday. Previous SNL cast members, including Eddie Murphy and Adam Sandler, recurring hosts, including Alec Baldwin and Justin Timberlake, and musical guests, including Miley Cyrus and Paul McCartney, appeared on stage in Studio 8H at Rockefeller Center in New York City to celebrate Lorne Michaels' iconic sketch comedy show. While many stars walked the red carpet, including Chris Kattan and Rob Schneider, not all of them reprised their roles during the three-and-a-half-hour event. Cheri Oteri, who was a cast member from 1995 to 2000, didn't have the opportunity to bring back her iconic original...

While plenty of alumni returned for the Saturday Night Live 40th anniversary special, one of the more notable appearances was from Ellen Cleghorne, who was a cast member from 1991 to 1995. The comedian, who has spent the past seven years earning her PhD at Nyu’s Tisch School of the Arts, has largely been out of the public eye aside from a brief appearance in 2013’s Grown Ups 2.

Yet, when Jerry Seinfeld hosted a Q&A with the audience on Sunday night, Cleghorne was there to ask a pre-scripted question about the lack of diversity on the show or, rather, in general.
While the whole bit was met with mixed reviews, Cleghorne says she was game to do it. “[SNL producer] Michael Shoemaker has always been a friend and he explained to me what the tone should be,” she tells VH1, “so it was like old times and I really, really...

Last month we learned who would be the main stars of Paul Feig's new, all-female "Ghostbusters" reboot.would include comedian Melissa McCarthy, SNL alum Kristin Wiig, and current SNL cast mates Kate McKinnon and Leslie Jones.
The weekend's Saturday Night Live 40th Anniversary Special brought all four women together for the first time in one place at the same time and Jones took the opportunity to snap a photo of the assembled quartet, along with a shot of herself with original Ghostbuster Dan Aykroyd.
Feig and "The Heat" writer Katie Dippold are currently at work on the script which is expected to utilise some of the iconic New York City locations from the original.

From Dave Chappelle to Sarah Palin to Adam Sandler, the red carpet at NBC’s “Saturday Night Live 40th Anniversary Special” was packed with a variety of big names eager to share their favorite memories and sketches from the show’s prolific run. Sandler, a “SNL” cast member for five seasons, told TheWrap that he and his former colleagues still trade Chris Farley stories at every opportunity. “When we’re up in the office together the guy we all talk about is Farley,” Sandler said. “Every story starts with a Farley and ends with a Farley. We loved him the most.

Some thoughts on last night's "Saturday Night Live 40th Anniversary Special" coming up just as soon as I assume Jon Lovitz is dead... Last week, I wrote about the history of "SNL," which has been filled with incredible highs, uncomfortable lows, and a mixture of things that either didn't work or simply outlived their usefulness. Perhaps intentionally — Lorne Michaels used to joke that the word "uneven" would be on his tombstone — or perhaps because it's inherent to any three and a half hour special with this many moving pieces, the special was "SNL" in a microcosm. Much of it worked spectacularly well. Some of it was disappointing and/or puzzling. And the whole thing went on much longer than it probably should have. Unlike the show's previous anniversary specials, which were largely driven by clips and testimonials, the 40th was conceived of as a super-sized, all-star installment of the show itself,...

Told ya this was going to be a historic night. #SNL40 https://t.co/mgTPOMKtnV— Saturday Night Live (@nbcsnl) February 16, 2015 Betty White continued to live out our fantasies when she locked lips with Bradley Cooper during the Saturday Night Live 40th anniversary special on Sunday night. The pair appeared as guests in the show's "Californians" sketch, featuring Cooper as a pool boy named Greg ... or Craig. White, meanwhile, played Aunt Lana, who ran into Greg/Craig when her hot air balloon was sabotaged. While stars like Taylor Swift and Kerry Washington also popped up during the sketch, Cooper and White's...

Steve Martin may have gotten the honor of delivering the monologue at the Saturday Night Live 40th anniversary special, but he ended up having to share the stage with plenty of drop-ins.
