At the Mott house, Dandy and Gloria show Jimmy to Dot and Bette, who are happily eating an ice cream sundae. Bette tells Jimmy that Dandy was the one who killed Twisty the Clown.
Jimmy remembers the second clown and suddenly thinks it's very important the girls leave. When Dot realizes Dandy read her diary, she's ready to leave. Bette goes along with her sister and leaves with Jimmy. Dandy does not seem to take it well.
Back at the show, Jimmy sings Nirvana's "Come As You Are" while Penny tends to Paul the Seal. Dell goes back to the gay bar expecting to see Andy and is disappointed there's no sign of him. He takes his aggression out on the bartender while Stanley takes note from a booth in the bar.
Jimmy confronts Elsa about selling the twins. But Dot reverses course and covers for Elsa, telepathically telling Bette to just go along with it.
Ethel and Desiree head into town to see the doctor and find his angry daughter instead. She tells them he killed himself after smashing his own hands.
Back at the show, Stanley confronts Dell about being in the gay bar, but makes sure Maggie is nearby as witness so Dell can't just kill him. In private, Stanley blackmails Dell to kill one of the freaks, threatening to out him.
That night in bed, Maggie tries to convince Jimmy to leave town right away, but he wants to find out if Dandy was the second clown.
Meanwhile, Dell sneaks into Amazon Eve's tent and tries to suffocate her, apparently miscalculating her strength and size. She beats the crap out of him and throws him out. "Who's the strong man, now?" she taunts.
The next morning, Eve tells Ethel, Jimmy and Legless Suzy about Dell's attack. Jimmy wants to go to the police, but Ethel and the women are prepared to just kill him.
Stanley comes to collect his body from Dell in the morning, but Jimmy gets to him first. Dell recalculates his target and suggests a drink in town.
In Elsa's tent, the Tattlers lay out their demands, including 20 percent of the box office and the money from the Motts.
At the bar, Dell says Eve attacked him first. He goads Jimmy into drinking, but when Jimmy opens up about spending a cold winter in Wisconsin, wearing gloves and looking just like everybody else, Dell seems to soften. He takes Jimmy's gloves and promises to beat up anybody who bothers him. "Unless it's a girl, right?" Jimmy cracks and they share a good laugh.
Jimmy runs out to puke and Dell follows him into an alley. He picks up a brick, but lowers it when Jimmy turns and tells Dell he knows he's his father. Jimmy knows about Dell's father and brothers, "The Famous Toledo Lobster Clan."
Dell admits it and hugs Jimmy, who warns him to leave before the women kill him.
Dell and Jimmy come back to the show in the morning, drunk and shouting. When Desiree and Elsa confront them, Dell proclaims that Jimmy is his son. Dell warns Jimmy not to let women boss him. Eve observes the scene and does not approve.
Dell tucks Jimmy into bed and Jimmy says something he's never said before in his life: "Good night, dad."
Stanley is waiting for Dell outside Jimmy's trailer and reiterates his outing blackmail threats.
Penny returns home to get her things and finds her angry father day drinking. He isn't prepared to kill her to keep her from the freaks, but he invited his friend Morris over to give her a proper sendoff. He's covered in tattoos.
Back at the show, Bette enjoys her new platinum 'do, thinking it makes her look like Eve Arden. Elsa slips Dot a note. She reads it later when Bette is asleep. Elsa asks her what it is she really wants. Pepper brings a note from Dot, demanding Elsa find Dr. Oscar Sugar and convince him to perform the separation surgery.
Back at Penny's house, Penny's father watches as Morris finishes on Penny's face as she's passed out. Her head is shaved down the middle, her face is covered in animal print spots and he had her tongue forked.
That evening at the show in Elsa's tent, she enlists Stanley's help in finding the doctor. Instead, he suggests a mercy killing -- which Ethel overhears as she brings dessert. Elsa likes the idea.
At night, Dell sneaks into Ma Petite's tent and brings her a pretty dress. She tries it on and he hugs her, strangling her until he breaks her neck.
Paul wakes up in the middle of the night and sees Penny. He blames himself.
At the American Morbidity Museum, the curator reveals the latest addition: Ma Petite.
