Basically, Batman accidentally discovers that a made-up jazz legend responsible for "modern jazz" who supposedly died years ago is alive and well and performing in nightclubs. Oh, and he visits said nightclub in full Batman regalia because he's kind of an idiot. And then, he and the jazz legend are attacked by... whatever the hell these things are.
