Originally the beach scene was supposed to take place on a playground at a park. Yet, while location scouting, the sun was observed setting on the water, and the location was changed.

The clock in Bel's room reads "3:21." This is a reference to the the director's girlfriend and producer Chante Branch. Her birthday is March 21st (3/21).
The characters names were based off the characters of Alfred Hitchcock's Vertigo (1958). Each was named after the actor that played the part. Jimmy Stewart played a man obsessed over a woman (Jimmy), Kim Novak was the object of his obsession (Kim), and Barbara Bel Geddes's character was his closest friend (Bel).
