It would be like we're talking about two different people"
gplusr7 June 2015
Warning: Spoilers
Bloodline takes you like a storm, it starts way too calm and gets deeper and deeper until you see it, the rain is already pouring down too fast for you to run from it.

Robert dies and there's a memorial for him, John is the one who talks on behalf of his family and the different image he had from his father compared to Danny, who was always treated like an outsider.

The episode introduces some new characters, including former Detective Lenny Potts. a long-time friend of the Rayburn family who investigated Danny's accident, which we found out through the first four episodes it wasn't exactly an accident.

The whole episode develops this two different views from John and Danny that ended up colliding into one, and we also learn more about John's influence on what happened.

On episode five we have a new perspective on the story, and I can't wait to find out more.

Expertly Done, Despite Repetition

Warning: Spoilers
It's not quite as good as "Part 4" before it, but it's extremely close. This episode follows a dark path. It's intricate, and it's not a typical funeral episode, like you see in most television shows.

The highlight of this episode is the directing and the camera-work. In particular, the table scene, John's speech, the bar scene, and the final scene stand out cinematography-wise. The episode's only weakness is the one that constantly haunts Bloodline. It isn't interesting.

Sure, the speech is interesting, and a couple of other scenes. But this is an hour of television. I'm getting tired of the same people having the same argument for five episodes now, and the writers still calling it conflict, which it isn't. It's filler. A story doesn't just need conflict, it needs different, changing conflict. Bloodline does not have this. It feels like a broken record.

It's a fine episode on its own, but within the show it doesn't feel strange enough. They just killed off a main character. They need to make me care. The show needs to change when circumstances change, and it didn't.

Everyone remembers childhood.

Warning: Spoilers
Everyone remembers childhood.

All dirty memories. They are all dirty. They are the worst family.

Danny had such a childhood but mother could not do anything.

They can drink anywere, anytime. I like it.

So , the necklace belongs to their dead sister. John lied about how danny was injured. But he was 14. What could he do? I dont understand why danny gets upset for this.

Sarah and that dead bodies from the explosion are connected? I could not get it.

Robert was so filled up with hate, at first he had stroke when he spoke to danny. Then he offered money to him and died. He hated danny but at same time he got sad. He knew he ruined danny's life. I am happy to see a dead father.
