Each title in this series is a line in the episode. It usually captures the theme of the hour. This title is a line said by the character Nyx. "Limbic Resonance, it's a language older than our species." though he isn't a regular cast member the idea of Limbic resonance is one that doesn't just speak for this episode, but is important to know throughout the entire 2 seasons.
This marks the third collaboration between the Wachowskis and Doona Bae. The previous two projects were Jupiter Ascending and Cloud Atlas.
Will Gorski, a Chicago cop, wears a city of Chicago flag on his uniform. The flag consists of four red stars between two light-blue stripes. In his first scene in the series he puts on a sleeveless shirt with a similar symbol on the chest; only instead of stars there is a multiplied Polish coat of arms there (in reality it is white). This choice of attire probably reflects Will's family background - and perhaps that of Mr J.M.Straczynski, the series' co-writer and co-executive producer.
In one scene, the Chicago police officers park their vehicle outside their station house. It is clearly the building used as the station for "Hill Street Blues." Though the 1980s series never identified its fictional location, the uniforms and cars for "Hill Street Blues" were modeled after the Chicago Police Force.
Several of the cops' names are Polish, including Gorski and his boss.
