- Daniel Striped Tiger: My friend, Malcolm Apricot Dinko, wants to know if there are any monsters here at the Eiffel Tower at night.
- Dr. Bill Platypus: There are not any real monsters anywhere, Daniel. You see, monsters are pretend. Monsters are just imaginary.
- Daniel Striped Tiger: Oh. But, good things can be imaginary too, can't they?
- Dr. Bill Platypus: Ah, yes. There are bill-bill many, many things that are imaginary. Good things, and scary things, but they're just imaginary.
- Daniel Striped Tiger: Thanks, Dr. Bill.
- Dr. Bill Platypus: Well, I'll tell Grandpere you came by.
- Lady Aberlin: You're a fine doctor, Dr. Bill.
- Dr. Bill Platypus: Well, I like being a doctor. Good day.
- Mister Rogers: Malcolm Apricot Dinko. Do you say 'ah-pricot' or do you say 'ay-pricot'? Some people like to say 'ah-pricot', and some people like to say 'ay-pricot.' Malcolm is a *real* man's name though, you know. Sure. Daniel must have really liked that name to have given it to his imaginary friend. He must really like the name Malcolm. And he must like apricots too. He must like to eat them. And I guess he must like the sound of 'dinko'.
- Edgar Cooke: [singing] It's just because I have so much work to do.
- Lady Aberlin: Oh I know, but Edgar, we hardly ever see you out here anymore.
- Edgar Cooke: [singing] A busy job, a busy job, a busy job I have.
- [goes back into the castle]
- Lady Aberlin: [singing] A busy job he has.
- Lady Aberlin: [singing] It's a beautiful day in this neighborhood / A beautiful day for a neighbor...
- Daniel Striped Tiger: How did you know I was going to show you my neighbor?
