- Open with Alex bringing the wounded Michael to a hospital. While Michael is worked on Alex is arrested for dereliction of duty.
Alex is brought to a prison facility. After head-butting an officer to ensure he doesn't have to take off his clothes and expose the tattoos, he's put in solitary.
While Michael lies in the hospital bed someone arrives at his side and performs a ritual that immediately heals his wound.
The next day Michael wakes up with Becca in the Stratosphere. He tells her he needs to find the blade and get to Alex. He suggests she should perhaps find a man she can live with openly. She isn't interested, reaffirming her love for him.
That night a female angel tries to kill Becca. Michael stops her and they go outside. It is Yuriel, his sister, and she tells him they need to talk.
Claire goes to see Bigsby in the hospital. She tells her the chosen one came to visit her. A Senator named Frost is being treated nearby and overhears this.
During a Senate meeting Frost says he thinks the Chosen One should reveal himself. Whele uses humor to change the subject.
Michael, Gabriel and Uriel meet. She wants them to end their conflict. They talk about the Chosen One, who Gabriel says is destined to come to his side.
Alex has a dream that involves seeing the phrase "She Died for You." He wakes up to Claire visiting him in solitary. He thinks he's safer there, but she makes sure to release him.
Arika tells Noma that she could use a strong solider like her on Helena. She invites her to join her when she leaves.
Alex goes to see Bigsby in the hospital. They joke about the jello.
Frost has Whele and Riesen meet him in one of his AgriTowers. He tells them he wants to meet the Chosen One and isn't going to let them leave until that happens. He has a remote device, controlled by his fingerprint, which he uses to lock the doors and begin flooding the area. If the Chosen One isn't brought to him he'll kill all three of them and drown the crops.
Noma tells Ethan about the conversation with Arkia. Alex shows up and tells them he just went for a drive to "clear his head." He tells Ethan about his relationship with Claire. Word comes through the barracks that a hostage situation is going down at the AgriTower.
The Senate discusses the Frost hostage situation. Claire arrives and is made Lady of the City Pro tem.
Whele talks to Frost about his faith, attempting to tell him he's using it as a crutch. Frost is convinced the Chosen One is real and will lead them to victory over the angels. He gives them 30 minutes.
Claire, William and Becca talk strategy. Claire thinks bringing Alex to Frost isn't such a bad idea, while William considers it too dangerous. They decide the military must be sent in and Claire leaves for the tower.
Uriel promises Michael she'll help him if he decides to help the humans and goes up against Gabriel.
Whele move closer to Frost and his remote. Frost responds by shooting Whele in the leg.
The soldiers arrive at the tower. Alex hears that Frost wants to see the Chosen One.
With Riesen looking like his heart isn't doing great, he and Whele talk about all the times they've avoided death over the years.
Alex asks his superior if he can go in and talk to Frost. He's turned down, but Claire shows up and orders Alex be sent in.
Alex goes in and takes off his shirt. Given his status as a soldier Frost doesn't buy that he's the Chosen One. To prove it Alex says "She Died for You." This works, as Frost takes it to be a reference to his daughter. He stops the flood and drops his weapon. Riesen promptly shoots Frost in the back of the head.
Whele is upset with William for sending the corps to the towers. He thinks he prioritizes the Chosen One over his own father.
Claire tells Alex that Riesen will make sure Frost is remembered as a hero who saved the AgriTowers. She wonders if perhaps it's not such a bad thing that Alex reveal himself to the people. Claire leaves and Michael arrives. He says he can help Alex and Alex says he's finally ready to learn.
Uriel tells Gabriel the exact same thing she told Michael, saying she'll support him if goes against their brother. She seems to be playing both sides.
The episode ends with Whele sneaking into the hospital and killing Bigsby in her bed by adding something to her IV.
