Not quite a finale
juditpinter-2016419 April 2022
I enjoyed this episode, but it totally fails as a finale. (I know that it wasn't written to be one, but still.) I feel like the ending was a little too cruel, however that doesn't make the episode bad as a whole. It's worth checking out.

Almost a better ending than Victorious's ending

Warning: Spoilers
For the last episode, there is really less Sam & Cat and more Sam & Nona and Dice & Cat. The former are roommates for the weekend while the latter are in Arizona for Dice's modeling career. Dice was sure he'd be on the cover of a magazine until a famous model comes in, who Cat believes is wearing a wig and after some attempts to remove it, she starts attacking the model and ripping out what is actually his real hair. The part where she is attacking him and ripping his hair out is kind of brutal. Sam, meanwhile, at first isn't too fond of Nona sticking around. It's typical of Sam as we never really see her actually like any adults besides Spencer or show any love for any adults like she did with her mom at one point in iCarly. But then the more Nona is there and doing some of the things for Sam, some of the things her own mom probably never did for her, the more she comes to love Nona and she doesn't want her to leave and not be roommates anymore. She gets a call from Dice about now getting the cover since the other model needs medical attention and Cat is now arrested and won't get out for two weeks unless she and Nona get there. Not wanting to lose her new favorite roommate so early, Sam pretends to Nona that Cat and Dice are simply staying there for two weeks. Obviously a lot of people are cheesed off about this finale, but for people that watched the show that couldn't stand Cat and her voice or couldn't watch the show at all for that popular reason, this is a huge treat for them. Cat had one funny moment with her stuffed animals in the beginning but that seemed to be it. As did Dice when they went to the modeling agency and he questioned what happens after we use the bathroom on buses and where does it all go. It's actually a question I think of time to time as someone who travels sometimes, I couldn't help but laugh and agree. Sadly Dice doesn't get a lot of funny moments because of whatever situation they're going through in Arizona. Sam and Nona however had gotten the rest of all the funny moments for this episode apparently. From Sam being who she is and being captivated by so much amazing food that's been cooked for her to bringing out her devious side for us one more time at the end to Nona surprisingly doing all these things for her and being so nice even around Sam, it was just all so funny and really adorable. For a series finale, it's certainly not the best. But for people that hated Cat, it's a great finale and amazing fan service.
