After Charlotte's deranged attempted to murder 'Emily' by arson in Jack's pub, she ignores Nolan's warning against trying to make up with her instable half-sister, whom Victoria recruits as unconditional ally by revealing her father David Clarke is alive and with her, poisoning his mind too against unsuspecting Amanda, he even intrudes her home at night, chased unrecognized by alert Nolan. - We open with the Stowaway fire raging. Jack goes inside and is able to get her outside safely.
We see Daniel and Margot in bed. She's called a huge board related to replacing Gideon. Daniel is preparing his return to business. Daniel has missed six calls from Charlotte.
David brings Victoria to an empty home to hold up for the night. Victoria wants them to start their life together the following day.
Jack's partner Hunter arrives on the scene to check up on him. Emily tells the fire fighters she had gone inside to check on a small fire she saw. She doesn't mention Charlotte.
The next morning Nolan tells Emily that, via Twitter, Victoria has surfaced in downtown Manhattan.
Victoria surprises Daniel at his hotel. He's furious because he thinks she was in Europe. She says she needs money and he blows her off, adding that Charlotte is in bad shape. This exchange is overheard by Louise, the woman she used to escape.
Nolan and Jack examine his completely destroyed bar. The passerby who Charlotte had told there was nobody inside comes in and tells Jack about that conversation. Jack seems to understand Charlotte knows something.
Louise approaches Victoria and tells her it was found out that she was wrongfully committed. She tells Victoria she has nowhere to go. Victoria tells her she has too much going on her with family and walks away.
Jack asks Emily to join him at the Stowaway. He wants to know what really happened. Emily tells him what Charlotte did, but says she'll handle it.
Victoria knocks on Charlotte's door. She embraces her daughter, who weeps. She tells Victoria about Emily lying about her identity. Victoria says she suspected, but that Emily lied to her about it. Charlotte confesses that she tried to kill Emily.
A college friend of Daniel's tells him that he's basically untouchable in the industry. He advises Daniel to wait six months or so until people forget about his issues.
Victoria brings Charlotte to meet David. She warns him that they can't burden him with too much information too quickly, which is why they aren't saying Amanda is still alive. David is overjoyed to meet Charlotte.
Nolan thinks Emily's plan of talking to Charlotte isn't going to work. She is feeling guilty about how much she messed with Charlotte's life. Emily says she has no plan.
Victoria tells David that Charlotte was the one responsible for exonerating him. Charlotte is uncomfortable with the lie, but Victoria convinces her.
Daniel tells Margot about his trouble finding work. She wants to help him, but he thinks it would be a mistake to risk tarnishing her reputation as a new CEO.
Emily arrives at the home where Victoria and David are staying. Victoria pulls a gun on Emily, but she yells loud enough for Charlotte to hear that she won't tell anybody what happened with the fire. Emily apologizes to Charlotte before leaving. Victoria warns her that payback is coming.
Emily returns to her car to find Hunter looking inside. He says he's there investigating a report of children drinking. Hunter wants to know what she's doing in such a remote area and she makes up a lie. He attempts to hit on her and she politely departs.
Daniel is evicted from his hotel room for non-payment.
Nolan can't believe Emily challenged Victoria to shoot her. Emily says she think Victoria has something planned, but can't figure out what it is. "I'm missing part of the picture. It's like she knows something I don't."
Hunter tells Jack the fire at the Stowaway is being ruled an accident. He doesn't sound excited about rebuilding the bar with his insurance money.
Victoria tells David he missed Emily and she was there to hurt Charlotte. Victoria says she's going to find them a new place to stay. Victoria leaves. She asks David to stay, but he grabs a knife and heads for the door.
Jack drops by to see Emily. He tells her he's thinking about not rebuilding. It was his father's dream, not his. He tells her it will free up time in his life for things that really matter.
Louise sits at the hotel bar next to Daniel. They start talking and she complains about being born rich. The topic of finance comes up and they hit it off.
Victoria meets with Margot. She tells Margot she thinks of her as a daughter, then starts talking about their money issues. Margot offers to write a check.
With Emily sleeping David breaks into the home with his knife. Nolan, who is crashing there, fixes her security system in time to spot him on camera. We see David walk into Emily's room. He looks down at her and seems shocked. Nolan walks in with a gun and chases David off. Neither of them saw David's face.
