- In hope of helping Lemon's financial woas, Lavon organizes a talent show featuring a cash prize; Wade and Zoe wind up in a compromising situation.
- When Lavon hears of Lemon's financial woes, he organizes a BlueBell talent show, giving the townspeople, including Lemon, a chance to win some extra money. The contestants are feeling intimidated by Shelby's participation in the event, but her sudden illness before her performance becomes a mystery the entire town tries to solve. Meanwhile, Zoe and Wade find themselves in a compromising situation that would require them to reveal their current relationship status.
- As the merger with the rival own is off, mayor Lavon donates the budgeted $20,000 to spice the prize for the annual BlueBell talent show. For Lemon winning it is possibly her last chance to bid on Fancy's, but her act hardly stands a chance against candidate mother in law Shelby. Wade and Zoe are finally comfortable enough to jump each-other's bones again in the diner, but have to hide towels-only overhearing the competition there was interrupted for the sheriff investigating -incompetently- the apparent poisoning of Shelby by red food die. Presuming it's from chocolate anonymously left in her dressing room, suspects are grilled, but with George's lawyer talent for defense nobody is pinned down, not even the usual suspect Truitt brothers, whose sister Tancy seduced him to act as their band manager. Forensics come up with an alternative conclusion.—KGF Vissers
