Heartfelt, spunky film with an important message
qfg-291-6633257 September 2016
As an activist, I was excited to see that Pen was tackling the topic of Citizens United. I had seen and loved documentaries on this topic, but I was curious how he was going to cover this in a fictional film. I was pleasantly surprised to see what Pen did to bring this story to life.

The film is low-budget, but I thought they did an amazing job with production values, a huge cast and many sets. He was able to bring humanity and intrigue to the fight against how corporate greed has taken this country off track.

It's a heartfelt spunky film with an important message. Audiences should be able to look beyond the flaws that come along with most low-budget films to see the heart shine through.

Writer/Director Brave to Tackle Subject of Widespread Corruption!
BettyABSOLUTELY21 August 2016
I wish more Filmmakers would tackle the injustice of how Large Corporations completely control our government. "Citizens United"--and its effect on ALL of our lives--should be on everyone's mind. Films SHOULD make us think as well as feel! I think the Filmmaker was trying to show ordinary citizens trying to take a stand against our modern-day Goliath. And he was trying to leave us with an overall positive message: Yes, there are huge forces manipulating the system against us... but that cannot stop people who want a better future!!! The film has an extremely motivating tone to it. Also it was great to see multiple- Emmy-winning actor Ed Asner in this.

Way too cheesy
mickglec1 June 2015
I was disappointed when I viewed the movie--it was just way too cheesy. In addition, there was too much attention focused on other matters (like being gay) that detracted from the main message. Mostly, I thought that the acting was a bit lame. I am sure that getting experienced actors to participate and screenwriters to write the script would be both difficult and expensive.

I thought that the main message was appropriate, but viewers would just have to endure too much extraneous material that really was irrelevant to the message that is the subject of the movie. I just think that the main message would be lost on most people.

Overall, I think that if an undecided individual watched this movie, they would most likely turn it off before it is finished.

Sorry, but it is true.
