This Anime Should Not Be Overlooked
zanemczanealot13 February 2017
A surprisingly emotional story chocked full of metaphors and symbolism that my brain was not even remotely prepared for, Yuri Kuma Arashi is a visually gorgeous piece with a tragic yet beautiful plot.

However, for the first couple episodes, the story made zero sense to me. The repetition of certain scenes mixed with a gratuitous amount of what seemed to only be fan service was enough for me to actually stop watching for a while. I was reminded of the show by a friend and gave it a second chance, and I'm very glad I did.

You will be confused. You will not understand things. You will bear (no pun intended) witness to one of the most shockingly heartbreaking endings of all time. THE OPENING IS A LIE. NO ONE IS HAPPY.

I won't give you a summary, because in a weird way, a description of the plot will not do this series justice. I can tell you, however, it's about a lot of societal issues and focusing on what we're willing to sacrifice for love.

This anime is insanely powerful. Just thinking of it again is making me get choked up. If you can just get on board for the first couple episodes, I promise you, this is a series worth getting invested in. It's only twelve episodes long, and they only get better with each passing one.

What?

I dropped this anime after 3 episodes. I tried to like it, I really did. Everything from the animation to the voice acting to the story to the characters to the setting to the everything was fantastic. The problem is that I couldn't really follow it. I might revisit this again in the future though. For now I think it was good, but confusing.

Great Anime Killer

How I got into it:

When I first viewed the first 2 episodes of this series on the Funimation Video app.Need to say, after watching the Japanese dub, this was a show that I want to own.

When I bought it:

When I bought the series at Best Buy on my 34th Birthday on DVD/Blu- Ray combo pack,I really found it more enjoyable.

When I watched it:

The series was amazing, and loved all the episodes.Favorite characters in the show,I like Kureha,Lulu,Life Cool,Life Sexy, and Life Beauty.

The meaning of the show:

What this series also explains is that we must be careful on who we are friends to. We all must know who to trust, and not to trust. And if we know that a person is being honest and truthful.

But after all, this is a series worth getting. You'll see what I mean once you see it.

Too overly cute

I hate that this anime seems rather too happy dappy and cheesy at the same time. I know there's like a sad ending but like I just didn't feel interested by it from the first ep. I really thought I was going to enjoy it despite adding in overly cute girls. This time, I had to jump ship with this one...
