Aw... shucks!

It's a feel good movie. The intention was good but as much as it has the same recycled cliche message of the underdog coming up tops eventually or that of the prodigal son returning to save the town, I still hate the need to pencil in the fact that the general acting seemed pretty wooden stiff, abrupt and detached... all puns intended. All in all, a pretty decent 5 stars with a bonus 1 thrown in for the short but certainly not unexpected solo bedroom Royal disrobe of William Moseley to spice up the viewing. Hey, if you got the royal jewels of good looks and a hot bod, flaunt it till you make it. Fair job Will, on the constipated American accent. Lighten up, it sounds more natural if you erase that tension.

There is nothing extra ordinary about this movie. But not a boring one either to watch once.

Nice story

Not as predictable as some Hallmark movies but a lot more swearing than I expect from Hallmark. I enjoyed the fiesty warehouse workers who fight to save their factory.

Great old storyline. Bad acting and bad directing.

I'll make this short and to the point. The story has been done before. But like most similar stories it's supposed to be a "feel good" movie, and it was. But, many scenes were sloppy, overly staged and forced. The younger actors were not convincing and didn't act well. The older actors, except for the corporate boss, were actually pretty good. The music, my god the music....... It was horrible, repetitive and did not add anything to the story except distraction. It's basically a hallmark movie premiering on a Wednesday at 2:00 pm.

This film is precisely what the universe needs right now... Saving Paradise is gripping and heartwarming from the jump... You will feel true connection with the characters, you will cry and you will cheer. A wonderful cast lead by William Moseley delivers a captivating performance. Brilliant writing and beautiful cinematography. This is a must see... You will be inspired. Congratulations to Jay Silverman and the entire cast, crew and production staff!

Poor movie poor script poor characters

Warning: Spoilers
This is meant to be a feel good movie but unfortunately fails to get there. The main characters are wooden and unsympathetic the plot classic but rather limpid. Seemed like a cheap Hallmark movie and frankly a waste of time.

I absolutely loved this movie.

William Moseley and Johanna Braddy were terrific together. Lawrence Pressman as well. Really the entire cast was outstanding. The movie was motivational without being corny. It really connected with me. Special mention to James Eckhouse who played the perfect Kevin O'Leary style villain.

Must See
kevinharkins-181828 September 2021
The "critics" will probably not like the film - too sentimental - not edgy or artsy enough for an indie film, but this is a must see feel good movie that is ripe for the ages. Congrats to Silverman and the cast. EXCELLENT. And don't let anyone tell you otherwise.

Wonderful story filled with hope and goodness. Just what the world needs!

I love a movie where the story is based on giving and overcoming difficulty and hardships. "Saving Paradise" is this kind of film. There's plenty of suspense movies out there and sure those films are fun. "Saving Paradise" reminds us of how powerful we are when we join together and set our sights on the greater good. The film is well directed, beautifully filmed and and has a wonderful score.

Highly recommend!

Simply, nice!

Whatever you could call it ("Hallmark type", "old fashioned", "in the spirit of the 70s", "cheesy movie", "sentimental lemonade", etc.), this is really a nice film that evokes positive emotions and, possibly, some tears despite its happy ending. There is no violence here, no sex, no vulgarity, no zombies and no intergalactic wars. P. S. George Steeves is really great in the role of an autistic employee! Watch this movie to feel much better!

Based on a true story are my favorite movies

This was the perfect feel good movie of 2021. Michael and Charlie's chemistry throughout the movie you could just see the sparks flying. Loved how Michael's character changes from being a greedy business man to a man instead of crushing businesses decides to go and help build them up.

I had tears in my eyes the whole movie!!

It was so moving how the community came together and helped out in a crisis.

It was just plain and simple a feel good movie that after the last year and half everyone needs to watch.

Some Cliche's are worth repeating

Warning: Spoilers
Yes, this story is very cliche. Yes, this story has been done before in many ways.

So when a film maker decides to take a shot at doing something that has been done - it is because they hope they have something new to offer.

Yes, you get your fill of unique characters. You get a heaping helping of down-trodden folks who are suffering at the hands of changing times that have left them behind rather than helped them keep up.

Yes, you get the arrogant and ignorant guy who needs their wake-up call.

And then you have the conscience, the character who gets through to Michael Petersen (ignorant guy) and helps them change from Scrooge to savior.

Well, in this case the something new to offer is Johanna Braddy. Her portrayal of Charlie Clark (the conscience) brings freshness and realism to the role that makes this movie worth watching.

Mimi Kennedy's shines as Micheal Petersen's mother, a woman who has lost one of her sons, her husband and is about to lose everything.

Unfortunately, the actor who plays Micheal, William Moseley falls short of hitting his marks and is carried by the rest of the cast.

In spite of Moseley's weak performance, this movie is still has heart and a good story to tell.
