Hiding Blame is a prequel to the events in a planned feature called Blood Relations. In the screenplay for the feature, an inmate, soon to be released from prison, is befriended by an older woman who claims to have known his father. As the two become friends, and the woman offers the young man a place to live, he begins to suspect she may actually be his birth mother - the woman who abandoned him as a small child. What he never imagines is that she is in fact the mother of the boy he killed ten years ago. The events in Hiding Blame take place ten years earlier, beginning on the night the teenage victim was killed.
'Hiding Blame' won the Best Local Short Narrative award at the 2015 Columbia Gorge International Film Festival.
