Burt Reynolds talks about making his directorial debut with "Gator," which was the sequel to "White Lightning." Reynolds reveals that did a lot of prep work, speaks fondly about shooting on location in Georgia, and points out that he insisted on casting actual Southerners in order to make sure that the accents were authentic. By far the best stories shared herein are about female lead Lauren Hutton, who Reynolds remembers as a good sort of crazy lady who never wore a bra and flashed the crew to keep morale up. Reynolds also has kind words to say about cast members Jerry Reed, Jack Weston, and Alice Ghostley. Worth a watch for fans of the film.

Back to the Bayou - Part II (2014)

Burt Reynolds is on hand to discuss his film GATOR, which he not only acted in but he also served as director for the very first time. Fans of GATOR will certainly enjoy this featurette as the actor shares some good stories including why he wanted to direct and what decisions he regretted doing in his career including taking some less than good movies and passing on better directing jobs. Both Patrick Moody and Dudley Remus from the film are also interviewed but both of them are given less than a minute of running time. I'm not sure why they didn't get more just extend the time of the featurette but this here is still entertaining. The highlight is Reynolds talking about Lauren Hutton and certain things she did to keep the crew happy.
