They promised a killer Twist in the finale and there it was indeed ...

Warning: Spoilers
Just a when you think the series couldn't get any better !!! they hit you with ending like this ..

Over 80 minutes you won't stop asking "who the hell killed Lila !!".

Peter Nowalk wrote the finale in a freaking perfect way and he's just a Genius .

In Every Episode there was this element of " WTF just happened !" or "How did we get in here !" here in the finale each and every minute you'll go like Okay things are gonna be the way i thought it is ,, but No ,,, you won't know who the killer is till the last seconds of the episode ...

Most of the characters reveled a new dark side of themselves so far. If you think even for a second that some characters are useless in the series, well... think again... all of them have their part even "Frank" ;)

Things got even more intense than before , Honestly i just can't imagine How Season 2 will be ,, i mean can they really Top this level of Plot !!

You just love how in the end of each episode you'll be left with mystery to be solved in the next, only few Crime/Drama Shows have done that.

Overall i really can't wait till the next season that ,, and i believe the 1 golden glob nomination last year will turn into more than one golden glob "Award" this one. ;)

How Can They Do a Second Season
Hitchcoc23 May 2019
This is one of the most engaging series I've ever seen. I had so much to do and kept up the "just one more episode" bit. The twists and turns that take place in this one are remarkable. Rebecca's role in all this create a constant question mark for us. All those people hanging out at Keating's house, filled with fear and angst, is one of the most incredible scenes I've witnessed. How can a second season begin to match the moment to moment tension?

Plot-twist in this show are amazing!

Warning: Spoilers
How To Get Away With Murder never fails on surprises, especially in the season finale. Just when we thought Lila's murder was solved when they gathered quite a lot of evidence on Sam, Rudy (the guy who lived in Wes' apartment before him) finally makes his appearance in the 13th episode, just to give us a clue about Rebecca. Through the season, a lot of suspects were brought in Lila's storyline, but never the actual murderer. He comes as a big plot-twist at the very end. I'm pretty sure that not many people suspected a thing or even payed attention when Frank told Laurel "Who do you think I am? A freaking hit-man?" Hardly anyone even blinked. And even if they did it was hardly on anyone's mind that Keating's assistant who rarely has any actual screen time was the mysterious murderer. In the next season, he could kill anyone. Even Laurel. Who knows if his feelings for her were ever even real? The point is you can't trust anyone because everyone has their own dark secrets that have not yet been revealed. Those secrets are gonna be some seriously unexpected plot-twist that are waiting for us in season 2. Leaving the viewers hanging after such a plot-twist is the best way to end a show. Damn, this is a freaking good show.

Great finale, not a perfect episode but so entertaining Plot twist, suspence, correct acting. I m very surprise by that show. I m very difficult in term of TV shows because I have watch all the all Time best ( X files Lost Breaking Bad ... ) Murder cannot be compare to them of course, they play in another League, but really its a good Season 1 , if the others Season get the level here. Then it will be a top 10 show all Time.

Brilliant Ending
pmmf944 March 2015
Warning: Spoilers
One of the best way of ending the season. since the beginning of the episode until the end all of our attention go for the show. All the questions are answered, all the loose ends are tied. But in the end, something unexpected happens and a big question appears and the answer (we hope it is answered next season... who knows? :P). when we thought we had seen everything, we are overwhelmed with a big emotion of excitement. All the season it's amazing and the end "does justice" to it. The producers deserve congratulations, the cast deserve congratulations. the first season its done, now we wait for more. More emotions, More Drama, More and More surprises. I hope all of you like the show like i do :) Dream about next season XD

HTGAWM S1: Kill Me. Kill Me. Kill Me.
edicionccq19 December 2019
Wes Gibbins (Alfred Enoch), Michaela Pratt (Aja Naomi King), Connor Walsh (Jack Falahee), Laurel Castillo (Karla Souza) and Asher Millstone (Matt McGorry) are the Keating 5, a team conformed by the most brilliant students of Annalise Keating' (Viola Davis) class. Their lives are about to change in a few months when four of the K5 are involved in the murder of Annalise's husband, Sam Keating. (Tom Verica)

The plot of the show seems reasonably simple. A typical murder mystery with much filler with episodes dedicated to one lawyer case to deliver some extra time. In essence this show has all that, but it gains a lot more. Every episode the plot is moving forward and we would be discovering many information about what will happen in the future with the murder of Sam Keating.

Every leading character has their unique storyline and personality that make them likeable, and episode after episode we will watch their growth and how they handle the twist and turns of their lives.

The first season of "How to Get Away with Murder" is excellent in every unique way. From characters to story, every twist is pretty well planned and I promise you will be shock with every revelation.

This season gets 10 out of 10 because it's perfect from beginning to end and it establishes how the following seasons are going to be.

a subliming epilogue for season 1
picassomanhdan8 September 2016
Warning: Spoilers
This series blew my mind: it is outstanding. I'm amazed at how film- makers can put such complicated things in a movie series: well- developed plot, cinematic effects, acting...

Nevertheless, the series exploits an indispensable aspect of life which much aroused my interest: trust. Being a defence attorney, Keating has to be sceptical, even towards her husband. So does Wes, Collins, Laurel and maybe all other characters. It is, in fact, true that plentiful secrets exist and most of the time are hidden from the eyes of people who would cause inconvenience if the truth is unravelled. This brings us back to the most rudimentary question: how can the "id" govern our minds and thus bodies? Sexual and ambition desires ought to be attributed to the dishonesty running throughout the movie, or rather not telling the truth in order to preserve one's social life and career. Of course, predictably, when it is shed light on, collateral damage ensues

There's this quote from the last episode that much struck me: "But it's what the two of us need to choose to believe. With everything that's happened, it's the version of the truth that makes the most sense and will let us move on." It's strange that while I'm looking for this quote to put it here, I found out that no one else, at least on the Internet, picks it up. Personally, I believe it encapsulates all the essence and key factors of the whole series, hence proves indeed powerful. It scares me how it also holds true in reality. Are we all just running away from our frights and believing in whatever that could help us go on with life?

Besides excellent scripting, I did enjoy how the music enhances the scenes. "Run me out" perfectly gives last moments of the last episode an appropriate sense to end the first season and let the following ensue.
