A groundbear and a human embark on a doomed relationship. The groundbear is named Saper Carlisle. The human is named Retenance Ford. At one point, they are shown mating, and their bones keep cracking. I thought that was an odd production choice, as that sort of thing wouldn't necessarily occur under those circumstances.
