Fascinating study of how power corrupts

Teal obviously set out with the best of intentions, and it is admirable that she has emerged from a terrible childhood. . She may well have helped some people.

Revealing childhood sexual abuse to others who have suffered is obviously preferable to revealing it to a therapist as there is a shared understanding, you are spending longer than an hour so feel more supported and of course you feel you are helping fellow sufferers who truly understand and it is a mood booster to feel you have helped another.

But the glaring issue is that these fellow survivors are not trained. They could easily say something that could cause more harm, albeit unconsciously .

Maybe what she has shown us is that group therapy can indeed help survivors of this kind of abuse . And a group of well trained therapists would be wise to set up such a group,

Of course there are equally deluded and unself aware mental health professionals out there.

In the fourth episode Teal reveals a intiuition of what she thinks the german woman thinks of her.

It is a very accurate uncanny description of herself.

So much so I had to double check that it was indeed a documentary.

Watch The Deep End instead

Propaganda, this film is propaganda. Teal Swan is dangerous in many ways and this film is a slap in the face to her victims and their friends and family.

Amazed by in-depth vulnerability, openness and raw emotion

This is a must watch piece about spiritual leader Teal Swan. In this in-depth documentary you get raw behind-the-scenes footage of Teal's daily life coming from an unimaginable painful childhood, rising to one of the worlds most open and thoughtful spiritual teachers. I love how authentic and vulnerable Teal shows her wounds and wisdom. She's not shy to show her pain and light to inspire others to do the same. You can tell that this woman really walks her talk as she would have never made it that far otherwise. Yet she's down to earth and her story shows that true healing and transformation is possible for everyone and I'm forever thankful to have come across her teachings.
