Good episode starring my favourite princess of all time Rapunzel aka Mandy Moore.

Warning: Spoilers
Sofia The First The Curse Of princess Ivy is about Sofia the princess who wears this amulet that makes her have the ability to summon any princess she wants as well as talking to the animals. Of course her sister Amber takes the amulet off her while she is asleep and summons an evil Princess named Ivy who wants to take over the kingdom. But Amber ends up getting a curse as she can't summon Ivy back to her own world. So its up to Sofia to end the curse that Amber has by going to the dragon's lair where Ivy wants a dragon to melt the amulet. Later we meet Rapunzel(voiced by the original voice over Mandy Moore as Tangled by the way happens to be my favourite movie of all time)who helps Amber and Sofia as she was summoned by Sofia's amulet which she ends up getting back from Amber.

So will Sofia break the curse and send Ivy back to where she came from? Overall I enjoyed this show as it had my favourite princess in it but it had three things that bothered me about Rapunzel in this show.

1. Why has she long hair and its Blonde,my guess is that this is her signature hair look and kids know her more as a blonde than as a brunette with her short spiky dark hairdo.

2. IS that really Mandy Moore singing Dare To Risk It All cause it sounded nothing like her. As I know what Moore sounds like as I knew her from her singing career back in 1999 15 years ago when I saw her on TV performing her songs like Candy and even in the original Tangled movie her voice sounded the exact same as her mature sound voice now.

3. Rapunzel doesn't wear shoes,she's barefoot.

Overall though it was nice to see Mandy Moore reprising her role as Rapunzel and im glad that Tangled is still a hit with people.

A Curse of Good

Warning: Spoilers
This review will focus on the hit Disney Junior show, "Sofia the First." This special is called "The Curse of Princess Ivy." The special's plot is about Amber summoning a princess named Princess Ivy, by Sofia's amulet she took. Ivy then tries to take over the kingdom, and also tries to break the amulet. By taking it to Everburn the dragon. So Sofia, Amber, and Cedric have to stop her. Sofia the First is a really good preschool show, and this special is decent, with some flaws.

The animation is good just like the show. Good CGI animation, like from the dragons dancing, and the cave's design. Now let's go on to the story. It's fun and engaging. It's about a selfish character (Amber), having to atone for her actions. By stopping a villain, (Ivy). Let's review how the characters are portrayed in this special. They're all really likable, and understandable from how they react. It's easy to see why Sofia, the normally nice girl, and princess would get mad over Amber. While still trying to help her. Amber regret's stealing Sofia's amulet, and summoning an evil princess. She also helps, and saves the day. Cedric is still the bumbling sorcerer. Princess Ivy is a cool villain. The dragons are fun characters. While Rapunzel is a great addition.

The songs are also good. Like "A Kingdom of My Own" by Princess Ivy. "Smokes, Wings, and Fire" by the dragons. "Dare to Risk it All" by Rapunzel. But there is a flaw with this special. Namely with how this special undoes Amber realizing that taking Sofia's amulet is just bad. But that is just a nitpick, and that's how far I watched Sofia the First, anyways. So I don't know what happens afterwards.

In conclusion this is a good special from an equally good cartoon. Sofia the First. Which I might review one day. My overall score is an 8/10.
