With Cary Agos' trial only two weeks away, Diane receives the prosecutions files includes the damaging voice recording. Two of the three men from Lemond Bishop's crew who are on the tape are dead and although Kalinda is still searching for the third, Cary insists on testifying on his own behalf. Both Diane and Alicia are against it - Alicia says lawyers make the worst witnesses - and so bring in lawyer Viola Walsh to act as the prosecutor in a mock cross-examination. Cary begins to see just how vulnerable he is. Lemond Bishop knows Kalinda is sleeping with a Federal agent and is concerned about a new Federal investigation into his activities. He needs her to find out what exactly her girlfriend is working on. Alicia's brother Owen asks her to represent a student who was raped and is trying to get the man expelled from college. When the case ends up in court, Alicia finds herself up against Louis Canning. Alicia's campaign manager meanwhile is conducting focus groups about Alicia. After Fin Polmar invites her to help out at a local soup kitchen, unflattering photos show up in the press.
