"Pa-gents with Chris Pine" is a 150-second short film from last year and it has an actually pretty good cast because apart from Pine, there is also Troian Bellisario ("Pretty Little Liars") and Patrick J Adams ("Suits") in here. The writing comes from jack Allison, who is also fairly prolific, probably worked on many other Funnyordie sketches as well. So maybe the problem is the directing chair. I am not even sure if Zoosk Brothers is one person or 2 brothers that go by the name Zoosk. In any case, looking at their/his body of work, there is pure emptiness. This may very well be the reason why this short film did not work out. I would not say it was anywhere near to Funnyordie's worst, but it wasn't funny either, pretty much never throughout the film, despite (or maybe because of) the pretentious costumes. This film needed a lot more wit. Not recommended and a bit sad to see several truly talented actors wasted on such a project.
