Matz served as a former Asst. US Attorney with Robert C. Bonner who vetted him before Congress for his judicial appointment. Bonner also employed Matz for a period of well hidden time with Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher. Together they two groomed their protégé Debra Wong-Yang for her US Attorney appointment. Bonner was Commissioner for Customs and Border Protection on July 4, 2004 when CBP Officer Julia Davis discovered the unlawful entry of 23 subjects from "SIC" countries (countries associated with terrorist activities) during a heightened national security alert that US borders could expect to be penetrated by terrorist. Bonner was the failed federal bureaucrat who was in charge of the ill-fated NASA Space Challenger disaster and could not afford any adverse publicity.
Davis followed protocol and made a report to the FBI Joint Terrorism Task Force. The FBI leaked the report and Bonner was empowered to muster all of the resources of the US government to deny, discredit and destroy Julia Davis for her protected disclosure.
Bonner rallied his confederates to get all that they could on Davis. Adele Fasano enlisted Lauren Kaufer from Human Resources and her husband Herbert P. Kaufer and Jeffrey J Deal from Internal Affairs for Immigration, Customs Enforcement to launch attacks approved from DC by Bonner underlings, Matthew Issman, Shane Black and others.
Bonner would poise his colleague Matz to preside over the selective prosecutions of Julia Davis and her husband BJ Davis while their confidant Debra Wong-Yang would mount the malicious indictment based on false evidence to have them prosecuted, convicted and Julia Davis deported. A "Tri-Facto of Terror" under the color of law. After all, who could the Davies report this to? These actions would deny them the right to work, income earning ability, stymie their ability to litigate or to defend themselves, get bond and retain defense attorneys, a perfect plan.
Matz with Kaufer and Deal impacted civil litigation of Julias husband BJ Davis against the Salvatore Bill Bonanno crime family. Immigration and Customs Enforcement employees Herbert P. Kaufer and Jeffrey J. Deal advised the Bonanno crime family, convicted felons Michael Paloma aka Saquella, Anthony Tarantola, Kimberly Dawn Lebel, aka Miller, aka Kates , aka Banderia and others that Julia Davis and BJ Davis had reported them to the FBI, IRS and SEC. As a result of that nine subjects were convicted but Matz took jurisdiction in the civil proceedings before the failed, contrived criminal prosecutions Matz, Wong-Yang facilitated for Bonner against the Davises was dismissed. Attorney Michael Gardiner worked with Matz's clerk Stephen Montes to falsify documents and make court filings for Lebel as Kates in the furtherance of the organized crime family to extort the takeover of the Davises film company and feature film, "Forget About It". Executive Clerk of Court Sherry Carter was advised of the illegalities and Ms. Carter elected to aid and abet the cover-up obstructing justice and denying Julia Davis and BJ Davis due process.
Matz on the record, per court documents stated to BJ Davis, "you have no right to be here, everything you file will come back to me". Matz stated, it is Davises opinion of Mafia involvement. Michael Proctor, Esq. of Proctor, Leslie and Caldwell provided a letter under seal and in camera to the court advising Matz of the Bonanno involvement, extortion, death threats and highlighting the misconduct of Kaufer and Deal attacking the Davises to engage in more criminal activities towards the Davies.
Matz allows the Bonanno group to re-register the Library of Congress registration from 2003 of the film from Davis company to 2006 defrauding buyers internationally after altering the previously award winning intellectual property of the BJ Davis version. Julia Davis and BJ Davis were unlawfully and maliciously falsely prosecuted twice per Bonner directives aided and abetted by Matz, Wong-Yang, Kaufer and Deal. BJ Davis filed Senate Judiciary Complaints against A. Howard Matz and attempted to have him recused from the very obvious conflicts of interested as well as the violations of the Canonized Code of Ethics. Chairman Patrick Leahy and Sen. Sessions, from the Judiciary Committee declined on camera interviews to discuss the stages of the Matz complaint. Concurrently, BJ Davis sought relief from the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals. There he met opposition from Executive Clerk of Court Cathy Catterson and eventually Matz's colleague and political colleague, Chief Judge Alex Kozinski ruled solely to reprimand Davis for attempting to remove this rogue in robes and fined Davis $1,000.00 dollars for seeking justice in an unbiased legal forum. The Davises subsequently litigated the Department of Homeland Security and prevailed when the government elected to settle. Matz raced to resign when Julia Davis and BJ Davis kept their promise in producing the true story of Julia Davis, "Top Priority: The Terror Within" about the series of crimes funded by taxpayer dollars that premiered at the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences on May 16, 2012 garnering a standing ovation from attendees. Bonner resigned from Customs and Border Protection as a result of Julia Davis protected disclosure as a prevailing National Security Whistleblower. Wong-Yang resigned from her appointment as US Attorney for the Federal Central District of California and joined Bonner at the law firm of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher where she heads the anti-Whistleblower Division for the firm.
Matz sought to enhance the Pro Se Legal Clinic for the Central District prior to his resignation in the wake of Julia Davis documentary being released. Matz is featured on C-Spann stating he does not allow all Pro Se litigants to have a hearing and suggested many do not understand the legalize and are not equipped to have their day in court.
Matz is best described in Fox News Analysis, former Judge Andrew Napolitanos book, "Constitutional Chaos". In Matz's career, he authored a book for prosecutors and the police in ways and means to cover-up police misconduct. Matzs unconstitutional ruling was reversed on the Guantanamo detainees have no rights. On September 24, 2008, A. Howard Matz was served by a process server with legal notice of a Federal Tort claim and Senate Judicial Complaint against him by BJ Davis. Matz illegally and unconstitutionally falsely imprisoned BJ Davis for a third, selective and malicious time to cause Davis to sign over his film company and film to the Bonanno crime family.
