Okay, first let me say that "Between" is a rehash of "i,m in a small town and something weird is going on!" Honestly, bad acting, dialogue, plot all strive to make this show no better than 5 stars. I don't blame the actors, nor the technicians (cinematography, location, costuming, all are quite fine and appropriate for the show) I blame the DIRECTOR!!! Really! Even with bad dialogue the director can tweak the script so as to make lines at least sound somewhat sincere. It's even worse for this show because the director is the writer and creator. Wow, I,m wondering if McGowan even watches the shows he directs? Because if he did wouldn't he at least have a sit down with the actors, one-on-one, and at least get some inspired performances out of a few of them. Perhaps, even get back to the basics like character development, objects, obstacles, relationships? Maybe McGowan should go back to school and take some refresher courses on basic acting and directing. Let's hope that it happens real soon, because I'm afraid that "Between" isn't going to make it out of it's freshman year!
