The APA (Faarooq (Ron Simmons) and Bradshaw (John Layfield)) beat the hell out of Perry Saturn during the APA-Radicals (Dean Malenko/Saturn) match as Saturn's punishment for having stiffed jobber Mike Bell a few weeks earlier. This led to Saturn's gimmick of saying goofy things and finishing with "You're welcome!" and, later, his carrying around a mop he called "Moppy." Prior to the match, Terri Runnels, the manager for the Radicals, walked into the APA's office and tried to distract them by pouring their beer on her white shirt. She switched to a robe for the match and flashed Bradshaw to distract him, but he ignored it.
There were two title changes. The Big Show (Paul Wight) defeated Rhyno (Terry Gerin) for the WWE Hardcore Title, and Chris Benoit and Chris Jericho defeated Stone Cold Steve Austin and Triple H (Paul Levesque) for the WWE World Tag Team Titles.
Triple H suffered a torn quadriceps muscle during the tag team title match and would not wrestle again until the 2002 Royal Rumble.
Future WWE Superstar Bayley was sitting ringside for the show.
