Looks like someone's excited about the new season of American Idol!
Harry Connick Jr., 47, gave fellow judges Keith Urban, 47, and Jennifer Lopez, 45, quite an earful with his own mock audition in San Francisco.
Connick sang Sia's "Chandelier," prompting a laughing Urban to say, "You did it! You hit the note."
The judges spent the summer auditioning a new crop of aspiring singers for the 14th season, but this time they took a different approach to narrow down the group of 48 hopefuls down to 24.

This week, Vulture will be publishing our critics' year-end lists. 1. Tinashe, “2 On”A slab of twinkling midnight sky cut (by the expert hand of DJ Mustard) into the shape of a perfect pop song.2. Taylor Swift, “Blank Space”A subliminal Starbucks ad dressed like a single? A cheekily misandrist meta-commentary on Being Taylor Swift? Maybe all of these things, or, more simply, the very best song on the world-conquering 1989. 3. Charli Xcx, “Boom Clap”A John Hughes prom-scene anthem from a self-styled '90s baby: What could be more millennial than that? 4. Sia, “Chandelier”Divisive, throat-bruising, vocally acrobatic ode to bad decisions from pop’s most (begrudgingly) famous paper bag. 5. iLoveMakonnen, “Club Goin Up on a Tuesday”A based, weirdo-pop curio that catapulted an Atlanta nobody to overnight stardom, rearranged the entire logic of the calendar, and, perhaps most impressively, compelled Drake to practice his falsetto. Weekends are so 2013. 6. Nicki...

The Best Original Song category at the 2015 Golden Globes is stacked with plenty of familiar faces.
The 72nd annual Golden Globes nominations were announced Thursday, notably marking first-time nominations for singers Lana Del Rey and Lorde.
Del Rey is nominated for her song "Big Eyes" from the Tim Burton film of the same title, which stars Amy Adams as painter Margaret Keane. The movie explores the difficulties Keane had with her husband Walter (Christoph Waltz), who claimed credit for her works in the 1960s.

The moody tune is sweeping and more than a little melancholy, everything one would expect from a Del Rey track.
The nomination for "Big Eyes" was a bit of a surprise given that her "Young and Beautiful," which was featured prominently in Baz Luhrmann's 2013 take on The Great Gatsby, was not nominated last year.

After being nominated for a fistful of Grammys, Sia isn't about to rest on her laurels, even if she needs Little Orphan Annie to do most of the work for her. The "Chandelier" singer/songwriter plays an integral part in the soundtrack to the upcoming "Annie" remake, and for the album's first single, Sia offers up her own unique take on the familiar jam "You're Never Fully Dressed Without a Smile." Stripped of all its Dixieland-via-Broadway trappings, "Smile" becomes a tropical-flavored dance jam in Sia's hands. The video for the song finds "Annie" star Quvenzhané Wallis and her pint-sized pals running around NYC, trying to coax smiles and high-fives from busy New York types. What begins as irresistibly cute grows more and more sinister as the relentlessly upbeat and unceasingly cheery video rapidly turns into a giant, city-sized ad for "Annie," culminating in a visit to "Good Morning America,...

By now, the dance from Sia's "Chandelier" music video is well-known, but it's never been performed quite like this. Notre Dame student Henry Long put on a leotard and a wig to channel the video, popping up in the school's library, a coffee shop, and the middle of the quad to perform his own take on the dance. While some onlookers snap photos and seem to know what's going on, others are pretty dumbfounded. Watch the funny "ChaNDelier" performance above and the original music video below, then check out more must-see viral videos!

Nominations for the 2015 Grammy Awards arrived today, but instead of revealing all the nominees at once during a primetime concert, the prestigious music award ceremony opted for a more modern approach. After Pharrell Williams and Ed Sheeran broke the first few names on CBS This Morning, specific celebrities appeared in videos on their Twitter feed to announce the nominees for other categories. Among these spokespeople was YouTuber, actor, and musician Troye Sivan, who revealed the contenders in the Song of the Year category. Sivan, who has nearly three million subscribers on YouTube and more than 2.1 million Twitter followers, introduced himself to the music industry this year by releasing his debut Ep, Trxye. The five nominees he announced are Meghan Trainor's "All About That Bass", Sia's "Chandelier", Taylor Swift's "Shake It Off", Sam Smith's "Stay With Me", and Hozier's "Take Me To Church". We’ve seen some very impressive recreations of Sia’s “Chandelier” video in our day — a dance choreographed by a 2-year-old is one of them — but this video, is, well...
It’s the most creative punishment we’ve ever seen.
“Never lose a fantasy football bet,” Chuck Jose explains. “Or else you will create a shot for shot, homemade version of the music video for Sia's ‘Chandelier.’”
And that’s exactly what he did. Shot for shot. Dance move for dance move.
News: Here are 7 famous songs you didn’t know were written by Sia
We have so many questions: How long did it take Chuck to learn the entire choreography? Did he already know it ahead of time? Did he already own that leotard? Maybe we’ll never know, but we’ll always have the art of his dance.

Vevo has released its list of the most-viewed music videos of the year, and an Australian songstress sits at the top. Iggy Azalea's "Fancy" video, which drew attention from La to Tokyo, outpaced all other Vevo videos by scoring 380 million views in 2014. The "Fancy" video was inspired by the film Clueless, of which Azalea is a "huge fan." "'Fancy' is such a West Coast sounding song and beat that I felt like this would be the perfect opportunity for me to use this film," she said. "It’s a movie about Valley Girls and that’s something very West Coast but not very rap. I thought it would be a cool tongue-in-cheek way to be very L.A. but unexpected." "Fancy" wasn't Azalea's only appearance in the top ten. She has a guest verse in Ariana Grande's "Problem", which ended up as the #6 most-viewed video in Vevo's ranking.
