Little is known about TALES OF A WAYWARD INN, apart from featuring John Carradine and Gloria Talbott, an actress who would enjoy lasting fame for her work in such iconic 50s titles as "The Cyclops," "Daughter of Dr. Jekyll," "I Married a Monster from Outer Space," and "The Leech Woman." Busier on television, she would later appear opposite Carradine in 1959's "The Oregon Trail" and the Feb 13 1960 episode of Steve McQueen's WANTED: DEAD OR ALIVE, "Tolliver Bender." According to Vincent Terrace's 2013 publication ENCYCLOPEDIA OF TELEVISION PILOTS 1937-2012, TALES OF A WAYWARD INN was conceived as an ABC anthology series, but only the pilot was produced, broadcast September 29 1954: 'fictional stories based on the guests who frequent the Algonquin Hotel in New York City.' Carradine's role remains unknown, and Gloria is only said to have played 'an actress who comes to the hotel.'
