Ella Fürnberg calls the police when her ex Thomas Metzeler, father of their kid daughter, doesn't answer the door on his custody day. Timmermann finds him in the basement terrarium, boxers-only and covered in bruises and his pet snakes, but those constrictors are innocent, as marine biologist Klaus Wieland assures innocent before autopsy shows he was smothered with textile. Thomas was recently fired from Peter Heinelt's reptilian show, where he collected snake excrement, which a lab confirms contains parasites proving most were illegally caught in the wild. Metzeler's brother Christian pretends they were opposites on excellent terms, actually reproaching the looser, who lives for free in father's house which they actually inherited together. Nosy neighbors also noticed a woman sneaking into the house, identified with surprise.
