Jeremy Brooks is an adaptation of the Kyle T. Miller play, "Ashley & Jeremy" which opened Dec 17 2004. "Ashley & Jeremy" was Kyle's first stage play.
Jeremy Brooks lead actor, Keith Savage (Sly) is the leader of a popular Little Rock group, "The On-Call Band". After casting Keith as Sly, Screenwriter, Kyle T. Miller, rewrote the part of Sly to make him a musician of his own band. The song "Feeling Me" was a feature song written by Miller and Jansen Goodwin for Savage.
Although Chicago is referenced in the film, JEREMY BROOKS was actually filmed in Little Rock, Arkansas.
Jeremy Brooks was shot in the winter of 2015. The first week of shooting almost was canceled due to an unseasonable snow storm in Little Rock where the film was shot.
In the film, Simeon Henderson, plays the role of Jeremy - a fictional character who is an aspiring news anchor. After the film wrapped, in real life, Henderson was cast as the host of a local television show on WICU in Chicago. Just like his character Jeremy, Henderson is now the lead personality of a television show.
