Sex & Nudity

  • Nothing specifically sexual, however, certain characters wear revealing clothing, such as Widowmaker and Dva (who wear a skin-tight spandex suit), and Tracer (who wears skin-tight leggings).
  • Widowmaker wears a skin tight suit with a cut center that reveals cleavage. Many other female characters have similar traits as you can pick different skins ( different options of clothes for the characters) It really just depends on the skin but this is not in any way meant to sexualize the characters.
  • Roadhog wears clothing that reveals his bare belly.
  • Nothing directly sexualised, but some characters (especially the female characters) may have revealing outfits that can be chosen by the player.

Violence & Gore

  • Small blood spurts appear when characters are damaged, but they are easy to miss due to the constant action.
  • Players is a variety of firearms (e.g., pistols, machine guns), arrows, and futuristic weapons (e.g., laser blasters) to attack enemies in team combat objectives. Combat is frenetic with realistic gunfire, cries of pain, and explosions. Splashes of blood briefly appear with each successful hit.
  • The character Hanzo uses a bow and arrows to shoot his enemies; the arrows are seen impaled in his enemies if his shots hit them, which can lead to violent imagery (i.e. an arrow lodged in an enemy player's head).
  • Animated gunfight and melee based gameplay, nothing too violent
  • Characters fight with various guns, swords, explosives and abilities, no injury detail. Most of the guns are fictional and don't fire bullets, although shells are clearly emitted from certain weapons and cartridges are used to reload.
  • Characters fall to the floor upon death from the player's point of view, but disappear from a teammates or opponent's point of view. No corpses are left behind.

Profanity

  • If you wear the punk costume for Tracer she sometimes says British curse words like "Wanker" or "Tosser" (these are censored if you have the "no swearing" option turned on for chat).
  • Genji and Widowmaker may use shit in French (Widowmaker) and Japanese (Genji) when venom mine (widowmaker) is destroyed, or when negative orb'd (genji).
  • When Widowmaker's venom mine is triggered she says something in french "Ça pique, n'est ce pas." Many players mistake this passive voice line for " suck d*** n'est ce pas.", due to Widowmaker's thick French accent. The voice line actually means "Stings, doesn't it."
  • A few scattered uses of "Damn" and "Hell" when characters are debuffed or damaged.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • Cassidy smokes a cigar, if anything, the game is anti-smoking (one voiceline Mercy says ingame to Cassidy is "You know, smoking is bad for your health")
  • One character is depicted smoking a cigar.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • It's rage inducing, which is very intense for the user
  • Some characters based on scary icons (eg. Reaper and characters based on ninjas and animals) may be intense for some players. Some characters speak in voices and have unlockable dialogue that may be unsettling or sound threatening.
  • Overall, nothing too intense outside the heat of competitive in-the-moment gameplay.
