Very Interesting Program!

If you are at all interested in history, military, aviation or technology, this show is one that you will enjoy thoroughly.

Air Warriors provides insights and details about famous airplanes, bombers, jets and helicopters that most people would find fascinating. They talk about the innovations of each aircraft and what made them successful, they often interview pilots/veterans who flew them and tell stories about some of their more noteworthy missions.

I've watched this show right from the beginning and have enjoyed every single episode!

My only caution would be an obvious one; if you aren't at all interested in the topic, there is little here to hold your attention and interest.

Pierre Sprey!

Warning: Spoilers
This whole series is geared towards people who are Novices to both military history and aviation history. All of the history and dialogue is like a bad military recruiting commercial.

In the episode about the F-16, they interview the self proclaimed "chief engineer" of the F-16 viper, Pierre Sprey. He is allowed to push his misinformed "reformism" without challenge, and allowed to both criticize the changes to the F-16 that made it an effective strike platform and take credit for the successful implementation of the platform.

The episode goes from "we wanted to build this dogfighter...that they put a bunch of bombs and avionics on" to "look this plane lead a successful strike on an Iraqi nuclear plant" by the Israelis.

This whole series is like that. It's great for 8 year olds or drunk boomers.

Great Show, Annoying Announcer!

The show would be a solid 10 if it wasn't for the narrator.

Listening to him is painful beyond belief.

Always trying to elevate the show by adding unnecessary comments.

Seriously, how many time can he use the phrase, From the frying pan into the fire?

The show does do a good job with interviews with actual participants, statistics and history of the different aircraft.

Doing the Top 10 of what ever category seems a little much and unnecessary.

Vintage film footage is often used over in different episodes where applicable.

And again having to listen to the narrator.

Good for filling that time of day when there's nothing else.

Anything with an airplane can't be all bad

Most pilots thrive on any good information regarding aircraft in general. Although, WW2 Warbirds are at the top of the mountain. Footage is good mostly due to the Smithsonian's archives. But, creating this docu-film was mistakenly formed by people who don't now spit about aircraft and the pilots that flew them. What this tragically did is sabotage this film by the addition of the numerous irritating "experts" narrating this "thing". Every few moments there is a break so this person can be filmed spouting their belief on what is happening in a manor most would consider amateur and most definitely non essential way. But they try to be dramatic and just the opposite is achieved. They must have failed acting class is all I can say.
