Standard POI

This episode is different from what we have been expecting in this season of person of interest. However, I am sure that Jonah will have a method to reconnect it with the mainstream later.

I say that because, the evolution of POI has been in flashbacks which deepen every character's character and gives an estimate of what the person is capable of doing. Seeing Finch struggle to handle Nathan's loss reminded of the heart breaking story at the end of season 2 but it also showed how Finch could regain trust in the Machine.

This episode is about the Finch as a person whose life has been reflected upon the case at hand. The story was OK OK and the acting is great as usual.

The Vigilante
claudio_carvalho8 March 2024
The Machine delivers the number of psychologist Dr. Shane Edwards, who grieves the murder of his beloved wife eight years ago and started a non-profitable organization to treat victims. Finch poses of patient to be closer to Dr. Edwards, but soon Reese finds that Dr. Edwards is a vigilante, capable to frame perpetrators to bring justice to the families. Meanwhile, in flashbacks, the viewer sees Finch plotting revenge against Alicia Corwin for the death of Nathan.

"Karma" is another filler episode of "Person of Interest", with the story of a therapist that becomes a vigilante to bring justice to victims. The plot is not among the best of the series but entertains. My vote is eight.

Vigilantism is okay? Warning: Spoilers
I like that the story causes the viewer to shift allegiances based on evidence that is revealed. But in the end, the chronic vigilante is patted on the back, meets a new potential love interest and the world goes on. What about the years in prison of his framed victim? Or the others? This episode talks a lot about closure but then offers none for the open questions about the victim/perpetrator.
