- "Lost in Thought" is a Silent Short that follows the story of RAVEN, a grown man, who has been given an old-fashioned typewriter as a gift. He sits in an abandoned and empty cafe, exploring it. The problem is, he doesn't like writing and thinks that he doesn't know how to write. So, he begins nonchalantly to type out his thoughts, which are actually quite humorous in print. He makes funny observations about the room around him, taking in his surroundings. The question throughout the entirety or the Short is what he should write and how to phrase what he observes as well as how he is feeling. The resolution comes about each time he types a new line on the typewriter, and then ponders his next line of documentation upon completion. The answer for what to write is found in his stream of thoughts, as he gives into them and follows them jokingly. The answer to his qualms about not being a worthy writer comes at the end, when he realizes that he didn't even put paper or ink into the typewriter in the first place, and thus, all of this thoughts have been lost. The theme is risk-taking, jumping into your fears and facing them, and the surprises which one can encounter therewith.
