Sex & Nudity

  • A girl and a guy in swimming shorts and a bikini go into the lake and kiss each other
  • There's a beach scene where women are dressed in very revealing bikinis. There are many close-up shots of bikini-clad women's cleavage. Lots of "panning the crowd" where everyone is in swimwear.
  • No naughty bits to be seen.
  • No sex scene

Violence & Gore

  • Number of shark attacks throughout the film
  • Little violence. Graphics of the movie are not good

Profanity

  • The police cuss like crazy
  • 20 f***words
  • A few G-D Dam* it. Several h*oly Sh*t, and a few uses of the Lord's name in vain.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • Officer Hernandez is given a beer and drinks it outside her home on the porch

Frightening & Intense Scenes

Spoilers

The Parents Guide items below may give away important plot points.

Violence & Gore

  • A goes arm is seen in the aftermath of a shark attack. Sumo with blood seen when he's turned over - the attack itself not seen mainly implied
  • A guy (an oceanographer staying in town to write a paper) shows a police officer and police chief a severed arm (he found it whilst scuba diving) and states a shark was responsible for the attack on the man earlier in the film - the arm is fresh so it's presumed it's from the elderly gentleman who was initially presumed by the police to have been attacked by a bear.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • A shark is briefly seen biting someone's leg off - they're paragliding just above the water when she's attacked. Not overly gory scene the scene itself lasts moments
