This one is just for the fans

Once again, thanks to Netflix for the rescue.

On its own this episode may never get the attention it deserves, but when you consider that the fans have had four seasons to connect with the characters, this one is a perfectly balanced "escape" to the land where Walt Longmire is the law.

The best part (for this reviewer) is the "epilogue" after Walt solves the murder --- he shares his feelings with the local doc (wonderfully played by Ally Walker, reminding one of her epic work in SOA) who, coincidentally, is someone he tried to date; and from whom he had received rejection.

The whole tone of the episode is whimsical, introspective, and utterly fun. This people feel like family.

And who could not use more family?

He Has a Life!

Warning: Spoilers
This is a little more conventional in its approach. A man is found dead on the side of the road, a disabled man telling the story of a robbery. Longmire wants justice for the friend. It turns out the dead man was a bad dude. He was just out of prison and the guy who crawled nearly two miles to get help, was his victim. So this is a bit emotional and a stunning example of forgiveness. Right? There are some interesting twists, but if you watch a lot of mysteries, it result may be fathomable. Not my favorite, but still better than most shows.

Big mistake

Warning: Spoilers
This mistake would not have been caught by most. Only those as well traveled as myself would probably have picked up on this. There is only one state in the United States of America that puts call boxes along side freeways. At no time through my travels to the state of Wyoming was there ever an emergency call box. This prop was placed to allow Walt to call Ruby.

Having grown up on Ca. This was very obvious out of place prop...
